1 pound Dried black beans
1 pound Beef stew meat, cubed
1 pound Link sausage
Salt and Pepper to taste

Soak beans overnight. Pour beans and water into crock pot. Brown beef and sausage. Drain excess fat. Stir ingredients into beans in crock pot. Cook on low for 6-10 hours. Check occasionally and add water if necessary.

1~1/2 C. liquid, beet juice and water
1/4 C. sugar (scant), or sugar substitute to equal 1/4 C. sugar

Drain beets and save juice. Add water to juice to make 1~1/2 C. liquid. Put liquid in saucepan with sugar and vinegar. Bring to a boil. Pour over Lemon Jell~O. Stir until dissolved. Add beets, and place in favorite mold.
1 pound cubed lean pork to 1 1/2 pounds

Brown pork and combine in the crock pot with the next 8 ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or on high setting for 4 to 5 hours. About 45 minutes before serving turn to high and add the vegetables. Combine cornstarch and water and add to the crock pot, stir well. Continue cooking until thickened and vegetables are done. Serve over noodles or rice.
1 1/2 lbs. round steak or bottom round, cubed
2 cubes beef bouillon and 2 C. hot water
1 Tbsp. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. wine vinegar
1 onion, chopped
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Brown meat in 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine. Add onions and continue browning. Remove from burner. Add rest of ingredients. Place in covered casserole in 350º oven for 1 1/2 hours. Remove from oven, take out bay leaf. Thicken gravy, serve over noodles.

1/4 C. sour cream
2 Tbls. green onion, chopped
1 Tbls. dill, chopped
1 tsp. vinegar
1/2 tsp. salt

Blend salmon and cream cheese together in a small bowl. Stir in sour cream, green onion, dill, vinegar, salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly.

3 cans minestrone soup
3 cans water
1 (31 oz.) can pork & beans
1 1/2 C. celery, sliced
1 Tbls. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. crushed oregano
Brown hamburger and onions and drain any grease. Add remaining ingredients with salt and pepper to taste and simmer for 1 to 2 hours or all day (on low) if using a crock pot. This is best made one day and served the next.
1 pound cleaned and sorted dry black eye peas
6 C. cold water
1 medium onion diced
1 medium green bell pepper diced
1/2 garlic clove finely diced
2 smoked ham hocks
3/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper or to taste
1 Tbls. salt or to taste
1 large jalapeño pepper cooked, diced (Optional)
Put all of the above in an electric crock pot. Set on low setting for 6 hours or overnight. Remove bones and skins, scrape fat off skin and put meat and fat back into pot. Cook on low for 1 more hour and serve.
1 1/2 lbs. lean ground beef

3 oz. cream cheese
5 oz. canned tomato sauce
1 tsp. salt
1 C. sharp cheddar cheese
1 onion
Cook noodles; drain. Beat sour cream into cream cheese. Add chopped onion and garlic powder. Brown ground beef; drain off fat. Stir in tomato sauce, salt and pepper. Set aside. In 2 quart or 9″ x l3″ baking pan, layer half the noodles, half sour cream mixture, and half ground beef mixture. Repeat layers in the same order. Sprinkle with Cheddar cheese. Bake in 350º oven for 30 minutes or until heated through. Serves 6
1 pound chicken tenders to 2 pounds
Salt to taste
Freshly ground black pepper to taste

2 cans cream of anything soup
Put onion in pot. Top with chicken and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Pour soup over chicken. Cook on low for 4 hours or on high for 2.
