    Pork And Beans In Cream

    1/2 pound salt pork rinsed and diced
    1 onion chopped
    3 Tbls. butter
    1 pound pink beans soaked overnight, and drained or kidney beans
    1 celery rib chopped
    1 bay leaf
    1 C. heavy cream
    2 egg yolks beaten
    Salt to taste
    Freshly ground black pepper to taste
    1/4 tsp. fresh grated nutmeg
    Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

    Sauté the salt pork and onion in butter for 5 minutes. Combine with the beans, celery and bay leaf and 1 1/2 quarts water in crock pot. Cover and cook on high 2 hours, then on low 10 to 12 hours. Combine cream, egg yolks, salt and pepper and nutmeg and add to pot. Cook on high, uncovered, 5 minutes or until thickened. Sprinkle with parsley and serve.

    Kielbasa With Hamburger

    1/2 pound Lean ground beef
    1 pound Kielbasa sausage, sliced
    28 oz. can whole tomatoes, un-drained
    9 oz. Package frozen French cut green beans
    6 oz. can pitted black olives
    1/2 C. Red wine
    2-3 cloves garlic, minced
    1 Medium onion, sliced in rings
    1 Medium green pepper, chopped
    1 tsp. Basil, crushed
    1 tsp. Oregano, crushed
    1/2 tsp. Thyme, crushed
    1/4 tsp. Pepper
    1 pound Pasta of your choice
    4 oz. Parmesan cheese

    In a medium skillet, sauté ground beef. When browned, transfer to crock pot. Add all other ingredients except pasta and parmesan. Simmer on low for 6-8 hours Cook pasta according to directions.

    Kielbasa And Vegetables

    1/2 pound lean ground beef
    1 pound kielbasa sausage sliced
    1 can whole tomatoes-28 oz. un-drained
    1 package frozen French-cut green beans 9 oz.
    1 can pitted whole black olives 6 oz. drained
    1/2 C. red wine
    2 garlic cloves to 3 minced
    1 medium onion sliced in rings
    1 medium green pepper chopped
    1 tsp. basil crushed
    1 tsp. oregano crushed
    1/2 tsp. thyme crushed
    1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
    1 pound pasta of your choice
    4 oz. Parmesan cheese grated

    In a medium skillet, sauté ground beef. When browned, transfer to crock pot. Add all other ingredients except pasta and Parmesan. Simmer on low for 6 to 8 hours. Cook pasta according to directions. Ladle kielbasa over pasta in large bowls. Pass the Parmesan cheese to garnish.

    Chicken And Sausage Stew

    1/2 pound kielbasa cut 1/4 inch slices
    2 boned skinned chicken breast halves cut bite size strips
    1/2 C. thinly sliced carrot
    1 small onion sliced thin rings
    1 can baked beans with juice 16 oz.
    2 Tbls. brown sugar
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    1/2 C. ketchup
    1 Tbls. vinegar
    2 C. frozen cut green beans thawed

    In 3 1/2 to 4 quart crock pot, combine all ingredients except green beans, mix well. Cover, cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or until chicken is no longer pink. Ten minutes before serving stir in beans. Increase heat to high. Cover and cook an additional 10 minutes or until beans are crisp tender.

    Cheesy Pork And Potatoes

    1/2 pound ground pork cooked, crumbled
    1/2 C. finely crushed saltine crackers
    1 1/3 C. barbecue sauce
    1 egg
    3 Tbls. margarine
    1 Tbls. vegetable oil
    4 potatoes peeled, sliced thin
    1 C. grated mozzarella cheese
    2/3 C. evaporated milk
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. paprika
    1/8 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
    Chopped fresh parsley

    Combine pork, crackers, barbecue sauce and egg in large bowl, shape mixture into 6 patties. Heat margarine and oil in medium skillet. Sauté potatoes and onion until lightly browned. Drain and place in crock pot. Combine cheese, milk, salt, paprika and pepper in small bowl. Pour into slow booker. Layer pork patties on top. Cover and cook on low 3 to 5 hours. Garnish with parsley.

    Ham Beef And Bacon Soup

    1/2 pound ground beef
    1/2 pound cooked ham diced
    1 medium onion
    10 1/2 oz. beef broth
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
    1/2 pound bacon cooked, diced
    2 cans pinto beans-15 oz. each drained
    20 oz. frozen mixed vegetables
    1 can tomato soup 10 3/4 oz.
    3/4 tsp. salt

    In the crock pot combine all the ingredients. Cook on high for 5 to 6 hours or low 10 hours.

    Chicken And Rice

    1/2 pound fresh mushrooms
    1/2 C. onions chopped
    2 pounds chicken
    1 tsp. chicken bouillon
    1 tsp. poultry seasoning
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 C. water
    3/4 C. rice uncooked

    Slice mushrooms. Remove skin from chicken. Spray 12 inch skillet with nonstick spray coating. Brown mushrooms, onion, and chicken pieces on all sides over medium heat about 15 minutes. Stir in seasonings and transfer to crock pot. Can be refrigerated overnight at this point. Start crock pot on low. When ingredients are heated, add rice.

    Bean And Basil Soup

    1/2 pound dried white kidney beans
    Or Great Northern beans
    1 pound lean stewing meat cut in 1 inch cubes
    2 small zucchini unpeeled, diced
    2 medium turnips peeled, diced
    1 large potato peeled, diced
    2 celery stalks sliced
    2 medium onions chopped
    1 can whole tomato-28 oz.
    2 tsp. leaf basil
    1/8 tsp. crushed red pepper
    1 Tbls. salt
    2 Tbls. olive oil

    Completely soften beans. Combine all ingredients in crock pot, add water to cover and mix well. Cover and cook on high setting for 3 hours. Then turn to low setting for 8 to 14 hours or cook entire time on high setting for 5 to 7 hours.

    Pinto Beans And Pork

    1/2 pound Dried Pinto Beans
    3 pound Pork roast, lean
    1 Onion, chopped
    1 Garlic clove, chopped
    Water

    Wash and pick over beans. Soak overnight and drain. Place pork roast in crock pot with onion, garlic and 1 or 2 C. water. Cook on low all day, or until pork is tender and beans are cooked.

    Italian Sausage Chili

    1/2 pound bulk Italian sausage
    1 pound ground beef
    1/2 C. onion chop
    1 can whole tomatoes with juice-28 oz. cut up
    1 can tomato sauce-15 oz.
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. chili powder to 2 tsp.
    1 tsp. cumin to 1 1/2 tsp.
    1 tsp. dried oregano leaves
    1 can spicy chili beans with juice-15 oz.
    1 can garbanzo beans-15 oz. drained, rinsed

    In large skillet, brown sausage, ground beef and onion. Drain. In 3 1/2 or 4 quart crock pot, combine meat and remaining ingredients. Cover, cook on low for 7 to 8 hours.
